Now Featuring Fountain Pens

We are now offering high quality fountain pen nibs for conversion of some of our rollerball style pens. Our premier nib is fashioned from 18 karat gold. It is then embellished with 24 karat gold and platinum to form a striking two-toned nib. They are very nice for writing. Please ask us for more information.

Welcome to Heartwood Designs!

Amboyna Burl Statesman Heartwood Designs was created with the intention of offering quality products that can only be obtained through the attention of hand made craftmanship. You will find most of the offerings here are simple products that are used in everyday life. We believe that everyone should treat themselves to unique 'tools of life' that are pleasing to use, express an individuals personality and spice up the daily routine. This concept has led to the formation of our montra "Artistic offerings to compliment everyday life."

Bowl from Apple Please look through our product galleries. We hope that you will find something a little different that expresses artistic individuality. If, however, our offerings inspire you with your own design that you would like, please contact us and we will look to create your unique vision.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or comments on our products, or if you would like to make a special request for a product in a different type of wood/material/etc.

First Place Pen on IAP
IAP 1st Place Slimline

We are proud to present the first place slimline pen from the International Association of Penturner's birthday bash for 2007. This was a big honor for Chris Mathes to have his pen selected from a group of his peers. He was awarded for having the best entry in the slimline pen competition.

Chris' pen was created using pink ivory, purple heart, and sycamore. The wood was cut into segments and reconstructed into a herringbone pattern.
